Webbing Slings BS 4928 Part 2

Flat woven webbing slings are made in 2 types:

1. Duplex: “layers of material stitched together to form double thickness.
2. Simplex: A single layer of material.

Webbing slings are not subject to a proof load test but are supplied with a certificate of warranty giving a guaranteed factor of safety.

Only slings manufactured from multifilament polyester is recommended for use offshore.
